The Apartment

According  to Charlotte's 15 minutes of fame,  the twins were not in the Apartment on May 3rd.

No one checked the apartment because there was no need , the twins were sleeping somewhere else. Therefore, only one possible reason Gerry McCann returned to the flat just after 9 p.m. and that reason was to move Madeleines body and create a scene for an abduction.

The scent of cadaver picked up in the flower bed below the window, has always been puzzling and hard to fit any scenario. Except, maybe this one, Gerry at the top of the stairs spots Jeremy Wilkins. Gerry, a quick thinker and devious by nature, quickly rushed down the stairs and placed the lifeless body of Madeleine in the flower bed.

Jeremy in his statement  said his son was fussy and restless he would not sleep. He also said he was busy with his son and would not have noticed if anyone had been at the end of the road. Wilkins saw Gerry on the other side of the road between 8.45/9.15 pm…Wilkins did not know if Gerry was coming or going from the apartment he only knows what Gerry has told him. They chat for a few minutes.Gerrys behaviour perfectly normal. The two men both go their seperate ways.

Gerry checks to make sure Wilkins is out of sight and returns to get Madeleine. Time has been lost, if the plan was to smash the shutter from outside it was now too late, the alarm was to be raised at 10p.m. Gerry needed to hurry.

Gerry fastened his pace and saw a family walking along the street. ( Smith family.)

Mr.Smith noticed the man was Caucasian 175-180m in height. 35-34 years of age. Short basic cut brown hair. The man was wearing beige trousers. He adds that he did not hold the child in a comfortable position. He also noticed her skin was ‘Very White’. and her arms straight down by her sides.

No one knows when Madeleine died or how, but we do know that she is dead. Rigor Mortis is latin for ‘stiffness of death’ this appears usually within the first four hours. The Smith statement  mentions the position of the  childs arms, straight and by her sides. Mr.Smith has mentioned the child looked awkward in the mans arms, possibly rigor mortis was already taking place(.Mr.Smith would not have been aware he was looking at a dead child.)

Nysten’s Law

In 1812, a French pediatrician named Pierre Nysten recorded his observation that rigor mortis follows a downward progression that begins in the upper region of the body, around the face and head, and travels in a set pattern down to the rest of body and the extremities. Known as Nysten’s law, this principle likely reflects the fact that rigor mortis — while affecting all muscles in the same way at the same time — becomes noticeable first in small muscle groups, such as those around the eyes, mouth and jaws, and becomes pronounced somewhat later in the larger muscles of the lower limbs.

What happened next and where Gerry took Madeleine we will never know.

Everything had gone wrong. Gerry had been seen.

The chaos that followed, ripping a childs book to write an alibi ….. having nothing whatsoever to do with checking children.

Jane Tanner, claiming to have seen someone with a child, egg head to later become dark and swarthy .

Had the abduction truly taken place and Mr. Smith had seen the abductor with Madeleine… instead of Gerry, the McCanns would have been cleared of all suspicion. The one true sighting the McCanns have chosen to ignore. A red herring? possibly, but unlikely.

When Gerry returned to PDL for his documentary he had no choice but to also include the Smith sighting. Gerry the director decided to change a few things. Jane Tanner in floods of tears refuting where Gerry now said he stood outside  the apartment . Gerry also changed Martin Smiths witness statement. Mr.Smith was very specific when describing the position of the childs head, resting on the mans shoulder. Gerry re-positioned the child to match Tanners story . Why?

 A possible reason...

Martin Smith after watching the McCanns on the news  9th September 2007, when they returned to the U.K.

Telephoned police and said..

He has not slept and is worried sick. He states he was watching the 10 pm news on BBC and saw the McCanns getting off the plane and coming down the steps. He states it was like watching an action replay of the night he saw the male carrying the child back in Portugal. He states the way Gerry was carrying his twin triggered something in his head. It was exactly the same way and look of the other male seen the night Maddy went missing. He also watched ITV news and SKY news and inferred it looked like the same person both times carrying the children. Is asking a member of the OP Task Force to ring him back. He was with a group of 9 family and friends the night he saw the male in Portugal. He sounded quite shaken and worried whilst speaking to me.

Gerry McCann in this interview jokes the abductor was almost caught. By whom he is asked...???

Jane he replies….by Jane .

INNOCENCE

Witness Statement of Miss Pennington on May 7th 2007. Translator Robert Murat..
Nothing unusual in Charlottes statement , a couple of things of interest Madeleine was known as Maddy , which we know and she mentions at no time did she enter the Apartment…..

Daily Mail 25th Sept. 2007. It is time for Charlottes 15 minutes of fame. Charlotte tells the Mail the McCanns are innocent and the distress she witnessed when Kate Mccann screamed ‘They’ve taken her’, later denied by friends as the first words Kate used, friends say Kate said ‘Madeleines gone’

The article goes on to say Miss Pennington, however one of the first people to set foot in the couples apartment said she heard Kate use both phrases. Charlotte confirms McCanns friends are correct Robert Murat was in the Ocean Club ‘He was standing outside just looking’.

The Daily Mail and their love affair with the McCanns will stop at nothing to give them a helping hand. Charlotte’s interview three days after newspaper headlines scream ‘The Missing 7 Hours’. Charlotte, ever helpful also wanted to help the Mccanns and explained ‘late tea’ was indeed a little late on the 3rd,not over until 6p.m.when she saw the McCanns who collected Madeleine. With many thanks to Charlotte the missing hours were now filled in.

When one lies, for whatever reason, a good memory is essential. ‘Dispatches’ aired on Channel 4 Oct. 18th 2007. Charlotte confessed the last time she had seen the McCanns as a family was lunchtime, May 3rd and not in the evening when interviewed for the Mail. Damage control needed here and needed fast. The very same day as this programme aired the ‘Daily Mail’ had an EXCLUSIVE. David Payne saw Madeleine at 6.30 p.m. the 7 missing hours once again explained.

Back to the Daily Mail 25th interview…Charlotte, although young and naive has a great quality, she is a very observant young woman who stood and observed Kate while everyone else was rushing around.’ I could’nt believe what I was seeing, she was so distraught’ Charlotte also observed on entering the apartment ‘THERE WERE NO CHILDREN IN THE ROOM’ ‘The twins had been taken out already, I think by one of the McCann friends’ she happily explained.

GNR had yet to be called and we know the twins were in their cots when they arrived.

How to explain this , did the  the McCanns, one or both gently explained to Charlotte the police were annoyed so many people had been in the apartment, they did not want her to get into trouble so best not mention it. Charlotte only wanting to help, agreed this would be best and thanked the McCanns I would imagine for their kindness at such a terrible time. How amazing they must have semed to such an impressionable young girl wanting to protect her in such a selfless way. Charlotte went as far to mention in her statement, although not asked, the fact she did not enter Ap.5A.

Charlotte Pennington had she been older and wiser would have questioned why the McCanns did not want her to mention such an innocent act. If only Charlotte had told PJ the truth she may have been questioned more on her observations, but she placed herself outside and to Police was of little interest.

Silly young foolish Charlotte. Charlotte who in her innocence thought the McCanns were being kind. The McCanns, who had yet to return two heavily sedated children back to their cots. The McCanns, masters at manipulation.

Cots GNR noticed contained babies that did not stir, without bedding on such a cool, cool night.

A Mother

Kate Marie Healy dry eyed, asked without emotion to no one in particular ‘Please do not harm her, please do not hurt her.' Kate, wearing light make up, a flick of mascara, licked already moistened lips… golden hair freshly washed and framing her face made her first oscar performance. Kate dressed and ready to face the world, her face to become more famous than Lady Diana.  There is one large difference to seperate these two women. Diana was a mother, Kate Healy is not .
There,on National TV stood a woman, a mother, who was proud of the fact she had left toddlers alone because she claimed to have received thousands of letters saying ‘Don’t worry Kate, we have all done it’.

This woman, who we have yet to see shed a tear, red swollen eyes or dark shadows from lack of sleep. This woman wanted to look good for her audience into whose homes she has become so well known, like it or not she is there and invades our privacy….like a bad marriage without the income.

Kate has never cried for Madeleine, the simple reason,  she cannot. Kate is without emotion, an ice queen. When questioned about the night’ Why did you not come when we were crying’ her natural reaction was to raise her hands fist like and perform a grab and shake movement. Not quite the response from a loving mother.

Kate told her mother if she had large breasts and a heavier build she would attract more sympathy. Kate an only child, a daddys girl, only thinks of herself and her selfish needs. Some say in the latest interview from Portugal, Kate looks strained and tired of the lies. Kate has always been a liar, a bad one but a liar none the less. Gerald McCann is her lap dog and will remain so, what Kate wants Kate gets.
BBC Radio have decided mother earth should invade our homes on ‘Mothering Sunday’ Kate will once again try to show emotion she does not feel, for a daughter who has now been dead nearly three years. Madeleine does not have a resting place to call her own, a place where her siblings can leave flowers or say a prayer, does this bother her mother Kate Healy as such a special day approaches? Kate will be as usual thinking of herself and the words she will say to an audience tired of her lies, tired of her third rate acting.

For those of you lucky enough to still have your mums, you will be busy buying gifts and cards for your special lady.
While doing so, remember a mother who has given life, may have also taken it away.

If ever a woman was born not to be a mum, it was Kate Marie Healy.

Sham of Perfection

The McCanns had problems conceiving. Madeleine was eventually born on May 12th,2003, after IVF treatment. Gerry said: It was incredibly special because we had been waiting for a long time.

After many years of hope, the birth of their beautiful Madeleine made their lives complete.

However Gerry has commented that Madeleine was close to the perfect child..’Only close why not perfect?

A baby you have longed for, has 10 perfect toes and 10 perfect fingers a healthy pair of lungs and you do not find such a gift perfect?

Madeleine was born with a defect in her right eye known as coloboma. A coloboma is caused when a baby’s eye does not develop properly during pregnancy. The eyes develop between the fourth and anything up to the fifteenth week of pregnancy. This condition occurs in about 1 in 10.000 births.

Madeleine only had one eye affected ,this is called (unilateral)her right eye. The coloboma would have been noticed at birth. Maybe this is what Gerry meant when he said ‘close’ to perfect.

Medical staff after having noticed the possible keyhole-like shape of the pupil would have called on an Opthalmologist (eye doctor) to carry out a full examination.

The opthalmologist would use an instrument called an opthalmoscope to examine the inside of a childs eye. The Opthalmoscope is held close to the eye but will not touch it. A baby will be given a general anaesthetic as to not cause discomfort.

This examination will allow the Doctor to find out how much of the eye has been affected by the coloboma. It will be hard to tell how much a childs sight has been affected until they are older. Small children are unable to communicate in words how good their vision is.

The hospital will also carry out other examinations to check on your childs health. Mostly the Coloboma only affects the iris and children will often have fairly good vision. However, bright lights may be a problem because the iris limits the amount of light entering the eye and the retina may not work properly.Too much light entering the eye can also cause image to be distorted.

If the coloboma goes further back into the eye then the child could have more visual problems especially if the retina is involved.

Sometimes, children with coloboma may have other health problems. It would be very unfair for me to suggest this, as I have no knowledge of Madeleines medical history However,. it does show though the need for regular checks when a child has this condition.

There is no treatment for coloboma. However, a child with coloboma will receive specialist care at hospital during the early years to monitor the effect of the coloboma and their eye health. The frequency of these checks will depend on the childs needs.

Children who have coloboma can be more at risk of Glaucoma (increased eye pressure) and retinal detachment. There are treatments for both of these conditions.

If a childs eye health is stable and there are no further complications then a child will have six monthly eye tests up to the age of seven years. Tests are with an Optician or Orthoptist.

Sometimes cosmetic contact lenses may be considered at a later stage. These can help make the pupil look round rather than keyhole shape.

The McCanns two Doctors, and yet, have never used the medical term for Madeleines eye defect coloboma,  it is also absent from Madeleines passport.

Here we have a child with an eye problem that needs six monthly checks. Checks that the McCanns have not once mentioned to the ‘abductor’ an eye condition that at a later stage could cause problems to Madeleines health…The McCanns insist Madeleine is still alive so why has this not been mentioned?

Gerry McCanns comment ‘We knew the abductor could do something to her eye, but it was a good marketing ploy’ sends to this day shivers down my spine.

Coloboma that made Madeleine the almost perfect child . Coloboma that gave birth to the massive campaign. Coloboma that the police warned could sign Madeleines death warrant was not even worth mentioning on Madeleines passport by her parents.

Two doctors who claim to have been Madeleines GP mention nothing of her health and  it would appear from their statements they have never even met the child. Their written comments read more like a character reference for their friends the McCanns and what good parents they are.

Did the coloboma exist or was it just a sham. A good marketing ploy.

IMAGES

Many days ,weeks , months and years have now passed ,yet it is only lately we see the ravage of time etched on the McCanns faces. It is hard to believe that Madeleine ,presumed dead ,has been gone for almost three years. I have no doubt that the McCanns have a PR stunt prepared for her up and coming birthday. Her siblings, will be giving gifts and there will be an empty chair, Maddies chair.

The McCanns interviewed in the days and weeks when Madeleine was first lost to them, seemed to glow, there seemed an inner peace. The twins were once again placed in the creche so that the parents may jog and walk the wonderful beach of PDL. The twins had a sister, what once were three ,then became two. The twins had lost their sister yet where were the parents to explain this loss to their remaining little ones? why were they not comforting them they must have wondered where their big sister had gone.

The McCanns claim their first born was ‘stolen’ by an abductor . They were watched said Kate, they must have been waiting for the window of opportunity she is heard to have said. An evil predator had lain in wait to take Madeleine and yet knowing this man could still be in the area ,could still be watching Kates remaining children, what does Kate do? she places them back in the creche with strangers, the same strangers she did not want to leave them with at night.

Would any mother not fear for her tiny toddlers, would any mother not hold them closer, tighter , would any mother let them out of her sight?…..there is an evil man out there taking children from their beds…Well is’nt there? and yet we have Kate and Gerry McCann without a care in the world leaving their children once more. A parent would only be able to leave a child because they know there is no such threat ,an abductor does not exist..

The McCanns in those early days shone with gleaming white smiles and bronzed athletic bodies. They did not look like parents suffering for the loss of their daughter, in fact they did not look like they had lost anything at all least of all the most precious thing in the world. Madeleine.
Why the McCanns looked so pleased with themselves remains a mystery. Why the McCanns look now the way they do, there is no mystery, when you have lied , plotted and schemed and continue to do so. There is no mystery when your rich supporters seem to be slipping away. There is no mystery as to their hatred for Mr.Amaral the man the McCanns intend to destroy. Mr.Amaral who guessed what really happened to Madeleine.

The McCanns faces reflect now the anguish of this torment . The anguished torment that was never reflected for the loss of Madeleine.

Maybe Madeleine was a little too much for her mother.

Kate McCann: My struggle to control ‘very difficult’ MadeleineLast updated at 19:06 17 September 2007

Kate McCann has revealed that she struggled to control Madeleine McCann after the birth of her and Gerry’s twins, it was revealed today.

Missing Madeleine would run around ‘screaming…shouting for my attention’, the mother-of-three said.

In an interview given to a Portuguese magazine before she was named as a suspect in the case of the four-year-old’s disappearance, Kate also said the first six months of Madeleine’s life were “very difficult” and that the girl had suffered from colic.

The revelations come as police said they were trawling through Kate’s medical records amid suspicions in Portugal that she may have had a history of depression.

The detailed analysis of her medical notes could provide them with significant evidence against the GP, who is a suspect in the case of Madeleine’s disappearance.

Speaking about Madeleine’s upbringing, Kate, a 39-year-old GP, told Portugal’s Flash! magazine: “She cried practically for 18 hours a day. I had to permanently carry her around.”

Kate McCann with twins Sean and Amelie

This period explained “the strong bond between mother and daughter”, she said.

Although the arrival of the twins Sean and Amelie shook up Madeleine’s life, she accepted them very well, said Kate.

“She managed to deal perfectly with this new reality, although she herself at the time was still a baby.

“The worst thing is that she started to demand lots of attention, especially when I was breast-feeding them.

Madeleine McCann: Would run around screaming and demanding attention after her twin brother and sister were born

“She would run up and down screaming in the background, shouting for my attention.”

Mrs McCann also insisted that she and her husband were “truly responsible parents” and had committed no crime.

Speaking of the night Madeleine disappeared, she said: “I was sure immediately that she didn’t walk out of that room. I never doubted that she had been taken by someone.

“I went through a phase of guilt for not knowing what happened to her. I blamed myself for thinking that the place was safe.

“But the certainty that we are truly responsible parents has helped me carry on.

“I know that what happened is not due to the fact of us leaving the children asleep. I know it happened under other circumstances.”

Asked about whether she and her husband were responsible for their daughter’s disappearance, she said: “It cannot be considered a crime. Someone committed one, but not us.”

Portuguese newspapers continued to report today that Mrs McCann will be re-interviewed in the UK this week by British police on behalf of the Algarve authorities.

But a spokeswoman for the McCanns said the couple had to date received no request for new interrogation.

The judge in the case, Pedro Daniel dos Anjos Frias, rejected prosecutors’ request to have the McCanns brought back to Portugal for further questioning, the Correio da Manha said.

He insisted that the fresh interviews should be carried out by British police in the UK, according to the paper.

The re-interviewing will only take place when further DNA testing in Birmingham is completed, either tomorrow or Wednesday.
cont…

A letter of appeal will be sent to Britain, setting out all the questions Portuguese detectives want to ask the couple, along with the evidence supporting their hypothesis, the Correio da Manha reported.

A source told the paper there was only a “very low” probability that Portuguese officers would be allowed to sit in on the interviews.

A McCann family spokeswoman said today: “We have been in touch with the lawyers to try and get a steer on what is in the Portuguese papers.

“They assure us we have had no request to date for any further questioning, either from the Portuguese police or in the UK.”

She could not say whether the McCanns’ legal team was expecting the couple to be re-interviewed.

Since Kate and Gerry McCann were named as official suspects last week, there have been suggestions in Portugal that Madeleine was given drugs on the night of her disappearance.

The accusations have been strenuously denied by the couple but have not been ruled out by police. Although the order to seize medical files came from the Portuguese authorities, the background searches are being carried out by Leicestershire police.

A copy of Mrs McCann’s diary has also been seized by police, who are now waiting for permission from the judge to seize and dismantle the McCanns’ hire car so they can search for “traces of skin”.

It has been reported that DNA evidence with a match to Madeleine was found in the Renault Scenic 25 days after their daughter vanished.

Yesterday it emerged the McCanns are trying to knock down potential evidence retrieved after two British sniffer dogs, capable of detecting blood and human remains, were used in the investigation in August.

One of the dogs picked up a “scent of deathĂ® on items ranging from Mrs McCann’s clothes to Madeleine’s favourite soft toy Cuddle Cat.

Leaked reports from the investigation have suggested that Madeleine’s parents could have accidentally killed her and then disposed of her body using the car. Although they do not know the full details of the Portuguese prosecutors’ case against them, the McCanns are concerned that it may rest on the dog’s reaction.

The couple’s legal team has now consulted the lawyers of an American man accused of murdering his estranged wife in a case where “cadaver dog” evidence was central. They want to highlight the judge’s dismissal of such evidence in the high-profile Eugene Zapata murder trial in Madison, Wisconsin.

Mr Zapata’s estranged wife, flight instructor Jeanette Zapata, was 37 when she vanished in October 1976 after seeing her three children off to school.

Her body has never been found. Detectives suspected Mr Zapata of involvement in her disappearance but did not charge him because of a lack of evidence.

Police decided to conduct new searches using cadaver dogs and Mr Zapata, 68, was charged with firstdegree murder last year after the dogs indicated that they had scented human remains in an underfloor crawl space at the former family home and other properties linked to him.

But the judge ruled that the dogs’ ability to detect remains was too unreliable, noting that no remains had actually been found.

Snippet of interview with GA and MF.

McCannfiles

GA – The window made me doubt. And not only that.

MF – But I do insist on the window. The mother said that she never touched it.

GA – That she never even opened it.

MF – Now, when I read the process, I realised that her fingerprints were on it. And positioned in a manner that coincides with an opening movement.

GA – It was with that, with Kate’s fingerprints on the window that I wanted to catch them.

MF – That’s the truth of the lie.

GA – Among other things. It was one of the best games that I ever saw played out, to divert attention from what really happened in the apartment. The manner in which they “worked” for the Smith was brilliant.

MF – The couple that recognised the father carrying the little girl.

GA – Exactly. It was done in such a manner that at one point in time, it was Gerry himself who informed that someone had witnessed the situation, as if the person that was recognised had been someone else.

MF – Wearing the clothes that the friend mentioned for the photofit.

GA – Precisely.

MF – Do you still drink beer, or did you stop drinking red wine after the news in the English press?

GA [laughs] – I never drank wine. I don’t like red wine.

MF – What really made them mad was being made arguidos.

GA – Now that you know the process, tell me… Under the old Penal Process, how do I ask Kate: “Are you lying when you say you didn’t touch the window? As a matter of fact, it was you who opened the window. We have material evidence of that.” A question like this forces the constitution of arguido because it invades her sphere of constitutional rights. I have to give her the right not to reply, instead of lying. The only solution was to make her an arguida.

MF – Things were different in my time. She would have been under such an attack that before she realised anything, she’d be in jail.

GA – Right, but in your time, in our old times, investigation was made with fuel. Now we all move on honey. Apart from that, this is a process that is uncomfortable for everyone. Nicely archived, nice and quiet, that’s how it looks better. Everyone was happy.

MF – And nobody was tried.

GA – Not yet…

MF – Do you still believe?

GA – It’s too big and too serious a burden to be concealed by so many people for their entire lives.

Gonçalo Amaral in Amsterdam, 05 May 2009

Q: Do you think the children were sedated?

A: There is no doubt.

(Here he told an anecdote: that Kate called a colleague of Gonçalo Amaral’s in the PJ, in August, to ask them to check the twins for traces of sedation. Apparently Kate was alone when she called, and a bit upset. That same afternoon, Gerry called and cancelled the request.)

MURATS MOTHER

Jennifer Murats son Robert ,was made an arguido May 15th, 12 days after Maddie vanished. Jennifer, like her son reads and speaks Portuguese fluently. Jennifer said she heard the news about Madeleine from her daughter Samantha, who lives in Exeter. Samantha telephoned her mother.
Jennifer also the same day May 15th, made a police statement. However, Jennifers statement reads more like her life story.  We hear of Robert at just one month old . She speaks of property in ruins and the rebuiding of... Jennifer also speaks of Roberts personal life, the breakdown of his marriage to Dawn and mentions his daughter.

Jennifer even discusses Roberts sex life, or lack of ,as she told him not to bring anyone back to the house to ‘sleep’..
Roberts widowed mother then goes back in time to speak of Roberts eye injury and an injury to his knee when a child.

Jennifer then seems to remember the reason for being at the Police Station, she tells her story. Because she had been in Portugal for a long time and knew many people she decided to mount a ‘post’ to collect information in order to be able to determine things about the subject and thus could channel them to the competent authorities.

For three days ( Fri. 11/05 Sat. 12/05 and Sun 13/05) she was at the post mounted near to the cinema . Having obtained some information,  she passed this onto Robert who, in turn, gave it to the police.

Her idea was to try to sensitise people not to feel intimidated by the presence of Police and lead them to give all the information they knew.

(This was a police investigation , an elderly lady is allowed to collect information and pass onto her son who in turn passes onto police.)

Jennifer, turns to the night in question May 3rd 2007. Jennifer says she was at home all night with her son. About 19h50 she went to ‘Batista’ supermarket to buy bread. This is Jennifers police statement. However, in inteviews she has said that she returned at 20.00 after walking her dogs, returning to the house the same time as Robert.

Later, having also eaten, they sat in the kitchen talking long into the night. Finally ,at almost midnight they went to their rooms.

Jennifer is questioned a little more and she explains that while they were talking in the kitchen, she recalls having heard a siren ringing at least once. Although not usual, she also did not ‘connect’ because it could possibly have been an Ambulance.

Robert Murat told Martin Brunt that he too heard a siren that night. Martin while in PDL did two things ,he asked everyone who knew Murat if they had seen him the night of the 3rd. no one had seen Robert that night. He also asked everyone he could find if they had heard a siren that night. No ,he found no one who had heard a siren.

Jennifer Murat has accused Metodo 3 of bribing witnesses ,to change their accounts and has said she fears they are working to frame her son.

Jennifer also testified to the BBC’s Panorama programme that her son had never left the Villa and branded the McCanns friends ‘liars
The Murats home Casa Lilianas garden was dug up, the pool drained. Nothing was found.

Robert Murat said 'this is the biggest fuck up on the planet'
The meeting with Brian Kennedy, the McCanns backer and Robert Murat even stranger.

What they spoke of we shall never know., but we can rest assured it was about everyone keeping their mouths shut.

Did Jennifer try to help the McCanns in some way ?, did she do something illegal out of kindness. Two different stories as to why she was not at home before 8 pm…

Was Robert Murat framed to silence his mother?

The only alibi between mother and son is they both heard a siren just before 10.30 pm.

THE FRAMING OF ROBERT MURAT

Robert Murat lived at the time with his mother Jennifer, both speak fluent Portuguese. It may be this fact and this fact alone that got Robert into so much trouble. Had Robert not offered his services as a translator he may never have been made an arguido (official suspect).

Robert claimed the evening of May 3rd, was spent at home with his mother .

Three of the McCanns friends say however, they saw him standing outside the McCanns apartment.

Jane Tanner, who at first said she did not get a clear description of the man but would recognise him again because of the way he walked later said she was almost certain that the man she had visualized for a few seconds was in fact Robert Murat .

Russell O’Brian (Jane Tanners partner) Rachael Oldfield and Fiona Payne were all called back to Portugal by Portuguese police at a later date to confront Robert Murat, the conversation grew heated as ALL three called Robert a liar.

The British media, one reporter in particular, grew suspicious of Robert and informed the police, he was likened to child killer Ian Huntley, a dreadful case in England back in August 2002, Huntley, had murdered two young girls.

Robert was placed under surveillance and his phone was tapped.

Skys crime reporter Martin Brunt spent most of his time covering the case and asked many people who searched that night if anyone saw Robert, they all said no. Robert was well known and if he had been there he would have been remembered.

Police knocked on the door of Murat’s mothers home , Villa Casa Liliana, at 7am May 14th, 2007. Robert was interrogated for 19 hours.

The Villa sealed off and searched, the swimming pool drained. Murats computer was seized and two cars were examined. May 15th Murat was declared an arguido.

Robert, who went to school in Portugal, says: “I have always enjoyed helping people, it’s who I am”. In England, where he lived for 15 years and worked as a car salesman, he also cooperated with the British authorities. “I worked as a translator, for the police and at the court.” Robert goes on to say

Three of the McCanns’ friends were at the PJ, saying that they had seen me there, that night [May 3, 2007]. What I ask is why did they lie?”.

“I have a daughter, too”, says Robert Murat, remembering Sofia, aged seven, who lives in England with her mother. “My family also victims – the journalists invaded the area where they live, and the British police had to take my daughter to a safe place.” His ex-wife, he says, “even received an offer of 220 thousand euros to give an interview saying that I was a paedophile”.

"I am an innocent man. I am not a paedophile or any of the other things I have been called. I have done nothing wrong. I wake up with this nightmare every morning and I go to bed with it every night."

Robert sued thirteen British newspaper although has not disclosed the amount he received in compensation.

Robert has also been offered large amounts of money to tell his side of the story but has refused.

He has received a letter containing a death threat, written in English posted from France.

More than three years have now passed , Robert has married and trying to get on with his life.

And what of Jane Tanner, her later statements seem to back off from her original account of thinking Robert Murat abducted Madeleine, now she is not sure. Even so Murat is suing her. The case is in Portugal and because of the secrecy laws we may never know the outcome.

FROM the Police File.

By the first confronter, RACHEL MARIAMMA JEAN MAMPILLY it was said that she confirms her deposition recorded at pages 1212 ff. of the case file, namely that she saw the defendant present in this confrontation at about 23h30 on 03 May 2007 in the circumstances that she makes clear in the [above] document.

---- By the second confronter, RUSSEL JAMES O'BRIEN it was said that he confirms his testimony recorded in pages 1320 and 1321, specifically when it states that he saw the defendant ROBERT MURAT on the night on which occurred the events now under investigation, that is on the night on which Madeleine disappeared, about 01:00 in the early hours of 04 May last, [and] in all the rest he confirms his testimony in what it says with respect to the contact that he had with the defendant.

---- By the third confronter, FIONA ELAINE PAYNE it was said that she confirms her testimony recorded in pages 1323 and 1324, namely when it states that she saw the defendant for the first time, personally, on the night of 03 May about 23h30 outside, next to the door of the McCann apartment in the company of officers of the GNR that in the meantime had already arrived at the place. In all the rest she confirms the "circumstantionalism" [all encompassing circumstances] of the approach that she made to the defendant.

---- By the fourth confronter the accused ROBERT JAMES QUERIOL EVELEIGH MURAT it was said that it is a lie [fabrication] what the other confronters had said because on that night of the disappearance of Madeleine he was not nor had been in that place, not having on the night of 03 May 2007 even gone out of [left] his house.

---- Nothing else was declared by the confronters, this document having been read to them they found it conforms (with their statements made) it is going to be signed by all the participants.

NOTE:

Fiona Payne says she saw MURAT with GNR offices (local police) NO GNR officer has come forward to say they were with or saw Robert Murat that night....

FABRICATED:

The dates are of interest as there seems to have been a sudden flurry of activity between the McCanns , their backer Brian Kennedy and Robert Murat the time this bag was alleged to have been found.

The  bag and its contents being pure fabrication , they are not in the Police files and no mention of them in Dr.Amarals book.

There therefore can be only one reason this story was released and that was to threaten, or silence someone.

Jane Tanner, why did she lie? Why was she chosen when she makes such a bad job of it ?.

She lied to protect O'Brian.

Did Russell O’ Brian out of some misguided loyalty decide to help his friend Gerry Mccann….?

Maddie DNA clue in airport bag

Traces found on fleece and stained jeans

By Dominic Herbert, 03/11/2007

A bag of clothes containing DNA linked to Madeleine McCann has been found dumped by a road in Portugal.

The white carrier bag was discovered in a layby two weeks ago near Faro airport, the News of the World can reveal.

Maddie’s parents Kate and Gerry McCann have learned the bag contained a blue fleece jacket and a pair of adult jeans with traces of DNA that contained “moderate” links to the missing four-year-old.

There was also a shower curtain inside.

Madeleine: Changes in evidence from Tapas Nine could ‘dramatically change investigation’

09 November 2007

Changes in the evidence of two of the so-called Tapas Nine could “dramatically change” the Madeleine McCann investigation, it was claimed yesterday.

The pair who allegedly want to correct their version of events were named yesterday in a Portuguese newspaper as Russell O’Brian and his partner Jane Tanner

Miss Tanner has given a key account of seeing a man carrying a child away from the McCanns’ apartment. Both her and Dr O’Brian deny that they have contacted police to change their statements……..

Jane Tanner. Why it is so important to her that we know she did not have jeans with her when Madeleine disappeared. She is not asked what clothing she wore on that night, but volunteers the information. And goes on to explain she was wearing one of O'Brians fleeces.

QUOTE

I remember I was wearing, because it was cold, I’d got Russell’s big, I’d borrowed one of his, erm, fleeces, so I’d got a big sort of fleece, it probably came down to about here, but then I’d got flip-flops on and cropped trousers, because I’d only got, I didn’t take jeans, I know I didn’t take jeans on holiday, and then.

The fabricated article of the bag found along the road to Faro airport and its list of contents are of no importance…just the two items are relevant above the reporter Dominic Herberts name.

MADDIE DNA: TRACES FOUND ON FLEECE AND STAINED JEANS.

The missing blue bag…… does it contain the fleece and jeans? ‘ and if so, who has it and where is it ?…..AND if a good friend helped you in a bad situation, why would you keep it to use as a weapon against him?

SNIFFER DOGS ‘Found Scent of Death’ on McCanns Friend

THE SUN reported on October 21st, 2008.

Kate McCann and three friends discussed child-snatchers hours before daughter Madeleine disappeared, it has emerged.

Dr Russell O’Brien, one of the so-called Tapas Seven, told police of the “haunting” conversation had while on holiday in Portugal last year. He said it came up after another father said he felt awkward photographing his own child.

Dr O’Brien, 37, was with his partner Jane Tanner, 37, Rachel Oldfield, 37, and Kate, 40. He said: “We then had a conversation about the ludicrous pressure on parents that they can’t take photos of their children.

“The other aspect of the conversation, which is doubly haunting, was that we said, ‘You’re far more likely to get clobbered by your uncle or your neighbour than some random stranger’.

Since this happened ten or 11 hours before Madeleine was abducted, it seemed a very uncomfortable coincidence.” The doctor, of Exeter, Devon, made his comments in April as he was quizzed by British cops at the request of the Portuguese authorities.

Sniffer dogs found scent on one of McCanns friends

Friends of the McCanns faced fresh allegations yesterday after it was claimed that sniffer dogs had found the “scent of death” on one of them.

The same police dog which reacted to Mrs McCann’s clothes – first causing suspicion to fall on her – was alleged to have smelled “death” on one of the friends who had dinner with the couple the night Madeleine vanished.

Police sources briefed a Portuguese newspaper that two police dogs from South Yorkshire, trained to detect corpses, human remains and microscopic traces of blood, had reacted to some items of clothing.

Family spokesman Clarence Mitchell denied categorically that any such procedure had happened.

The newspaper did not reveal which of the friends’ clothing was meant to have triggered the reaction. Police in South Yorkshire refused to comment.

Detectives are writing to British police asking them to re-interview the seven friends the McCanns dined with on the night Madeleine vanished.

Madeleine’s parents were dining in a tapas restaurant just yards from the apartment in the Mark Warner Resort in the Algarve, Portugal, when their daughter disappeared.

She had been sleeping inside the apartment with her brother and sister, twins Sean and Amelie.

According to reports from Portugal, all of those dining with the McCanns that night face further police questioning because their accounts of the night’s events allegedly clashed.

Leicestershire police have consistently refused to comment on its role in the investigation and directed all questions to Portugal.

A spokeswoman said: “As the inquiry into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann is a Portuguese police investigation it is not appropriate for us to comment on it.

Our role is to assist the Portuguese authorities, when and if they request it, with UK based inquiries.

“But because it is a Portuguese investigation, and because of the judicial system there, we are not able to disclose the nature of those inquires.”

The seven friends – who, with the McCanns, make up the Tapas Nine – have been steadfast in their loyalty to Madeleine’s family.

The group – most of them doctors and professionals – was made up of:

Dr Russell O’Brien, 36 A consultant in acute medicine at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, he knew Gerry McCann from Leicester.

He was on holiday with his partner Jane Tanner and their two young daughters.

At 9.25pm he left the restaurant for around 25 minutes to check on one of the girls, who was ill.

He has been subject to a vicious Portuguese press campaign alleging he was absent for over an hour when Madeleine went missing.

He has threatened to sue, insisting: “These reports are completely untrue and extremely hurtful.”

Jane Tanner, 37

Dr O’Brien’s partner. She arrived late at the tapas bar after treating their sick daughter.

On the way, she passed the McCanns’ apartment and saw a man carrying a child.

Crucially, her description of the child’s clothes matched Madeleine’s pink pyjamas.

Dr Matthew Oldfield, 37

Dr Oldfield, an endocrinologist at Kingston Hospital in South-West London, went to check the McCann children at 9 25pm.

But he did not look inside the flat – simply listened from outside to ensure Madeleine and the twins were not crying.

Rachael Oldfield, 36

Dr Oldfield’s wife, a former lawyer who is now a recruitment consultant.

She is one of four witnesses who claim to have seen the first suspect, British expat Robert Murat, near the McCanns’ flat.

Last month she angrily dismissed reports that police had intercepted phone calls and emails between the McCanns and their friends which contradicted the group’s earlier statements.
Mrs Oldfield accused Portuguese police of “throwing mud when we are not able to defend oursleves”

David Payne, 41

Mr Payne is a senior research fellow in cardiovascular sciences at Leicester University
He and his wife and mother-in-law joined the group at 8.55pm.
They are believed to have been the only ones using a baby monitor to check on their two children.
Mr Payne has said: “All these smears and rumours are overshadowing the important thing, which is to get Madeleine back.”

Dr Fiona Payne, 34
Mr Payne’s wife, she is understood to have told police she saw Mr Murat shortly after Madeleine vanished.
Dr Payne and her husband stayed on in the Algarve to support the McCanns. When the couple were made official suspects, she said: “It’s an outrage – a preposterous accusation.”

Dianne Webster

Dr Payne’s mother. She has given no public interviews.

(This newspaper article STILL available on the Internet and O'Brian, it would seem, has not sued anyone.)

Dr.Russell O’Brian: Leicestershire  Police how unfortunate the video for his first interview seemed to have ‘Technical failure’.

Russell read Jane Tanners,( his partners) statement to remind him of the events . The events, who could forget the events of May 3rd 2007? Who would need to ‘refresh their memory of such a dreadful night? how could anyone forget the ‘disappearance’ of a child, not just anychild, but their friends child, Madeleine.
(Is it within the law to allow a witness to check anothers statement ? or,was this to make sure they both agreed ? It seems Leicestershire Constabulary make up their own rules where these Doctors are concerned.)

RUSSELL O’BRIAN said.

————————

“I have been given the opportunity to refresh my memory at the start of the report by Jane Tanner (partner) and it allowed me to see these documents, which have been done in the presence of DC 1578 Gierc,” said O ‘Brien.

(O’Brien was interviewed twice, on 8 and April 10, 2008, but strangely, his first interview could not be recorded on video because, according to British police, there would be a “technical failure”)

The second interview, Russell O’Brien by the officer Andrew Gierc, was recorded on video.

CURIOUS AND INTERESTING

O’BRIANS partner JANE TANNER gave her witness statement to PJ May 4th, 2007

The time 11.30 am

JANE was clear about the type of clothing she saw the ‘abductor’ wearing.
He was wearing linen type cloth trousers, beige to golden in colour, a “duffy” sic type jacket (but not that thick).

KATE McCANN

Did not give her statement until 2.20 pm the afternoon of May 4th.

Kate and Jane would have had plenty of time to talk about the man she saw and what he was wearing…read what Kate McCann has to say.

Thus, at around 9pm, her husband went to the apartment to make sure the twins, as well as Madeleine, were OK, then he went back to the restaurant. (The twins and Madeleine seem to be thought of as seperate entities,  saying 'the children' would make them as one )

Her husband said that the children were doing well and that he had bumped into the person with whom he had played tennis, a person who has two children. (Why not say Jez Wilkins?)

At the same time, one of the group of friends, Russell, went to see his children, without checking on the interviewee’s children.

Later, a member of the group, Russell’s partner Jane, when she went to her apartment to see her children at around 9.15pm, saw from the back [rear] about 50 metres away, on the perimeter road of the club, a long-haired person, in what she thinks were jeans, with a child in his arms and walking very quickly. But she is better able to tell you about that herself.

—————————
Jeans and long hair said Kate. Jane Tanner said no such thing (but Tanner does have long hair and is afraid enough to mention she did not have jeans with her on that trip). What was Kate up to , what was she plotting in her little mind , if the worse came to the worse, accuse her friend? she had already told a social worker her child had been taken by a couple. What put that into her head?
Jeans had to be explained away again in Janes rogatory statement , once again she tells she did not have jeans with her on that trip.

Reply “Yeah. Erm, I’m just trying to, well I’ve walked out of the, walked out of the, erm, the Tap, you know, walked sort of into the reception of the Tapas Bar and obviously walked up the road.

Oh I’m sidetracking a bit, but that’s why I knew one of the pictures in the paper wasn’t from the holiday, because I hadn’t got jeans on the holiday with me, so.

(The photograph Jane is talking about is a photograph of her in blue jeans, she is not wearing the Maddie wristband or badge which they all wore. O'Brian wore his when he returned to PDL to accuse Murat. ) Before the wristbands arrived Dr.Mccann was wearing a yellow and green scooby doo around his wrist.

Erm, yeah, and I’d got cropped trousers on and just flip-flops, so I can remember sort of walking,

I couldn’t walk that quickly because I’d got these silly flip-flops on and I couldn’t walk that, that well in them, so to speak.

Jez Wilkins had already seen Jane earlier in the evening of May 3rd, standing outside an apartment, she was wearing a purple dress.

Returning to the jeans

The jeans seem to be of great importance to Jane  and from Kates suggestion of jeans in her statement, again ,without being prompted, Kate knows the reason why.

And so it goes on.
——-
TANNER from her ROGATORY STATEMENT:

“I remember what I was wearing because it was cold, I’d borrowed one of RUSSELLS’S FLEECES.”

But I did not take jeans with me to PDL:”

Jane offered this information about her clothing without being asked.

Do you remember the bag found along the road leading to FARO airport and what it contained?

There are two items of interest and if I was a devious person there is a way I could use these items to buy someones silence.

The missing blue bag, does it contain the fleece and jeans and is it being held by the McCanns to  keep a tight hold on Jane and O'Brians silence?

News of the find came as it emerged police hunting for the youngster have asked the Mafia to help.

Crime godfathers in Morocco-where there have been several alleged sightings of Maddie-have been told cops will scale back drug busts if they do.
Meanwhile, the bag, found by a passer-by, was sent to a UK lab in Birmingham for forensic tests.

A leaked report showed experts concluded the clothes contained bodily fluid and traces of hair that could have come from Maddie.

Skin

Other items recovered from the bag included a white flannel, a green elastic band, a light green child’s T-shirt with a green flower on the front and a pink and blue pencil case with a pink heart motif.
A source said: “The bag could be crucial. The DNA isn’t an exact match to Maddie’s, but it does link.
“It is the first clue found outside the apartment complex and could provide a trail.”

The report-which was handed to detectives ten days ago-was obtained by the News of the World from Portuguese police sources.

The jeans contained more than 60 different stains.

The report concluded: “The blue fleece and jeans were found to contain traces of congealed skin and hair.

“They were found to contain DNA characteristics that could be attributed to Madeleine McCann.” No traces of Maddie’s DNA were found on any of the other items.

The fresh clues will give Kate and Gerry, both 39, renewed hope of finding their daughter alive six months after she disappeared. Last night a friend of the McCanns said: “It potentially suggests that someone has taken her then disposed of the clothing.

“They have done it near Faro which could imply they have gone in the direction of the airport. It backs up the idea she was abducted.”

Last Sunday the News of the World revealed that the crack Spanish detective agency hired by the McCanns, Metodo 3, are convinced the youngster was snatched to order then smuggled from Portugal to Morocco.

Last night it looked like Mafia bosses will agree to use their underworld connections in the hunt for Maddie.

Madeleine: Changes in evidence from Tapas Nine could ‘dramatically change investigation’

09 November 2007

Changes in the evidence of two of the so-called Tapas Nine could “dramatically change” the Madeleine McCann investigation, it was claimed yesterday.

The pair who allegedly want to correct their version of events were named yesterday in a Portuguese newspaper as Russell O’Brian and his partner Jane Tanner.

Miss Tanner has given a key account of seeing a man carrying a child away from the McCanns’ apartment. Both her and Dr O’Brian deny that they have contacted police to change their statements……..

Jane Tanner in this photograph is not wearing the wristband on her left wrist, the reason being, the yellow bands and badges had yet to arrive in PDL, proof enough this photograph was taken the week Madeleine disappeared. The photograph of O'Brian was when he returned to PDL to accuse Murat of seeing him on the night of May 3rd. Jane Tanner did not return with him.O'Brian is wearing wristband and badge..Or if ,as she claims this is not from PDL then where is her solidarity? why is she not wearing the Maddie logos?

Someone, somewhere has a pair of adult jeans and  fleece and they are both stained with the DNA of Madeleine Beth Mccann.
