Remember that GM had to sign in a girl called Madeleine (or similar spelling). Otherwise he couldn't have pulled off the deception.

But they didn't. It was a different girl. With deliberate photographic confusion, you can forgive them thinking it was MM.

GM signed two girls into the creche. One called Madeleine, or a sound-the-same version. This one made the staff believe they had MM there.
